27 Apr Communication is Key
In a blog post earlier this week, we shared information on the importance of the security, reliability, and management of data when building a workplace wellness strategy.
Another key, yet commonly overlooked, component of programs is communication. Sharing the details of wellness programs is essential in helping to drive participation rates and minimize confusion among employees (not to mention in minimizing legal risk). The earlier and more frequently communication takes place, the more employees will understand the benefits the program provides, and the role that they play in its success.
Communication of all kinds lends to the success of a program but it is important that some of it comes directly from senior leadership. When done so, employees will truly feel that the wellness initiative is part of a company-wide transformation. When a program is linked to a company’s vision and goals, it is more likely to be successful and adoption among the population is increasingly possible.
