Bravo’s Internal Wellness Program

We're often asked what our own employee wellness program looks like. The company is almost 10 years old (officially a decade in October), and we've had a wellness program for nine years.

Back then, we had a program design that was very much focused on lowering healthcare costs. I was proud to offer any sort of benefits, let alone a wellness program, for our four or five employees in 2009. In that plan design, we made it so that employees could do their part to help keep costs down for everyone by earning an incentive by meeting healthy benchmarks. We also offered a few resources to help them improve BMI, quit smoking, etc.

Now, we have close to 300 employees and spouses on our medical plan. We have 15 open job positions. We have many unique, meaningful programs like on-site health coaching, group challenges and evidence-based online learning courses to enable employees to improve their health. And we're proud to offer a wellness program that empowers them to take the next step in their wellness journey in a way that is their own.
